Installing WordPatch Automatically

WordPatch is available for download from the public WordPress plugin directory.


First, navigate to your WordPress admin panel. You will need to be logged in as a user that has permission to install and activate plugins. Press on the Plugins link in the WordPress admin sidebar, and then from the Plugins page press the button that says Add New.


Type “wordpatch” in the search box on the top-right corner, and wait for the results to load. From the available results, install WordPatch by pressing the Install Now button. Once the installation has completed, the button will change color and be labeled Activate. Press it to enable WordPatch.

Installing WordPatch Manually

Uploading the ZIP

1. Go to the WordPatch page on WordPress.org: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpatch/ and click the Download button.


2. After it has finished downloading, go to the WordPress admin page of the site you wish to install WordPatch on.


3. Click Plugins under the WordPress admin menu on the left and click Add New.


4. Click Upload Plugin and then click Choose File.


5. Select the WordPatch ZIP file you downloaded.


8. Click Install Now.


9. After the plugin has finished uploading and installing, the page will update to display if the installation was successful or if there were errors. If the installation was successful, click Activate to activate WordPatch.



Uploading with FTP

Please note: Previous experience with an FTP client is expected.


1. Go to the WordPatch page on WordPress.org: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpatch/ and click the Download button.


2. After it has finished downloading, extract the ZIP file somewhere on your computer.


3. Open up your preferred FTP client, enter your site’s credentials, and connect.


4. Navigate to your WordPress’s installation root directory and then enter the “wp-content” directory.


5. Enter the “plugins” directory.


6. Upload the entire “wordpatch” directory from the extracted ZIP file to the “plugins” directory.


7. Go to the WordPress admin page of your site.


8. Click Plugins under the WordPress admin menu on the left. In the list of plugins, find WordPatch and click Activate.


9. WordPatch has been activated.
